Doctor Who Tapestry - October Update

Prime Ministers come and Prime Ministers go, just glad I'm not trying to stitch the history of UK politics at the moment. So whilst we wait for the results of the next Parliamentary lottery results to come in I've updated Sylvester's first season to show the Dragon with the background completed and the prisoner the biomechanoid was guarding, the criminal Kane. However I've chosen to do Kane melting as he meets his end at the end of Dragonfire.

Doctor Who Tapestry - Off the hoop

So today I had to take the hoop that holds the aida taught whilst working in order to make another repair to the hoop, which has been seen better days. It's more designed for cross-stitch rather than tapestry, I found the tapestry frame somewhat impractical as you have to stitch the whole canvas onto it, not something I could do when joining panels to the main body either. This hoop is a much thicker hoop, I've not seen any like it recently so it is a case of make-do-and-mend.

It gave me the opportunity to take a photo of the current panel, and also finish the back edging along the right hand side that will eventually become the outside edge of the main body when this is attached.

Doctor Who Tapestry - August Dragons

Quick early August update now that the Dragon has practically been completed on the tapestry and I'm moving on to tackle another from Dragonfire...

Doctor Who Tapestry - July Update

July has been a slow month for the tapestry. Roughly I had been completing a character a month until now. With all the heat it's been hard to stitch, holding the material close has been like holding a woolly jumper up close. I've managed to complete about the Dragon from Dragonfire.
